The Spohn & Burkhardt Remote-Control-Desk (RCD) is a versatile remote control station designed for cranes, serving as an alternative to traditional operator control stations in crane cabins. It features ergonomically arranged joysticks and controls, along with camera-based visualization of the working environment. The RCD provides a safe and comfortable workspace in control rooms for crane operation, eliminating the need for crane drivers to climb to large port cranes in extensive facilities. This setup also allows for the convenient operation of multiple cranes from a single workstation.

The RCD is not limited to port areas but is suitable for various industries such as waste incineration, recycling plants, oil, gas, and steel. It is ideal for environments where diverse tasks, involving both sitting and standing, prioritize the safety and health of employees in continuous 24/7 operations. The RCD offers a wide height adjustment range (650 to 1300 mm) with a Safety Stop feature, and it includes a single or two-rowed monitor rail capable of accommodating up to 8 monitors. These monitors can be motorized to adjust to the eye level of the operator.

Additional optional features include a technology cabinet, a tabletop that can be fixed or moved, work lighting, and application-specific control elements (joysticks, control devices, computer keyboard, touch screens, etc.) on the high-quality tabletop. To complete the ergonomic workplace, suitable and comfortable 24/7 chairs are also available.
